how many tears will really be in Minden?

Postby Scooter » Sun Jan 30, 2005 10:41 am

I'm wondering how many of those who signed up will actually go to Minden. My guess is only about half those signing up will bring a teardrop.

Will the numbers in Minden make it the biggest gathering ever? How many tears is common for a large west coast gathering? What do you guys and gals think?

The west coast gatherings that I have been to average about 70-80 teardrop trailers per. That's the Spamboree, and Sweetwater. Those 2 event are barely promoted at all because they already almost sell out the campground anyway. Only so much room to grow, ya know

Interesting. I was thinking 30-40 was a good number.

As of the 15th of January we have 92 trailers signed up. Just my guess but I;m thinking 125 at least. Could be twice that amount. That would be fun.

When I talked to the Pioneer Village people Monday, they had 93 people reserve 50 spaces. It sounded like only 3 or 4 needed a full space for a large RV, the rest were in small units (tears?) and sharing spaces. :shake hands:

Unfortunatly I was number 94, and am in the primitave area :frightened:

Scooter, get there two or three days early. There will be 30 - 40 tears coming in from the west coast alone in two groups. It's a sight to see, 20/25 tears on the road at the same time. :applause:

Gage,

Sure hope we can get something like that going from this side of the Mississippi.

Hey MyTear,

Your probably close enough for the Spring Tearup being held in June in upstate NY. See http://campadk.com/pjsnoozer/springtearup2005/ . We have 12 tears/trailers registered so far.

Minden is just too far for us.. well until I retire in another 5 or so years..

Cheers

Say Steve, I don't remember. Did you say you were going to the ITG? Sure would like to see your teardrop up close, also the Lil Dinner. You should have it finished by then. You do beautiful work.

Have a good day,

Dave,
Very sorry to hear you can't make Minden.
Thanks for the info on the NY gathering. I might try to make it some year. For right now, the Midwest in summer is especially nice.
Peace,
