Congrats Jan,

CampInn makes simply a beautiful TearDrop. I know you'll be proud!

If I were buying instead of building, I'd be buying a CampInn!

I have no affiliation with CampInn rather then to drool over them.

Jan,
Pictures makes it feel like the reality has finally arrived!

Very nice! Is it going to be a woodie style or aluminum outside?

Hey Jan,

Hi Jan,

Finally you get to see it coming together. Congrats, you will love it. We took ours to South Carolina a couple of weeks after we got ours, and it towed like a dream. We like it so much we decided to get rid of our Hybrid trailer. The wife has all stainless cookware, canisters, mugs, and utensils to match the kitchen. We got a tent that attaches to the rear so we can take friends along, and stay out of rainy weather. Now the fun starts, watching every part being put together. One thing, when you get it, open it up if you can and air out the varnish smell. Our first use the smell gave us headaches. Good Luck ,I will be watching your progress.

Yes this is an important point. When we received our Hunter we had the tear parked in the driveway on a VERY hot day. I put my head inside for just a few moments and was overwelmed by the fumes. I had a thermometer in the tear and it read something like 45C (113F). Probably would have been overcome by the fumes within a very short time. My eyes were burning also.

This was only an issue when we first bought the tear..er.. I think.... :tipsy:

Yup, those fumes stink pretty good for several months. What we find works is to run with the camper's windows open a crack while travelling to you destination. Then that night in the camper will be relatively oder free. If you don't do it again the next day it will stinky as soon as the next night.

It does get better though. When stored indoors open up the windows. That helps a bunch.

Thanks everyone!! Yes, my pictures look just like Pateardropper's, but I
just couldn't resist!! In fact, I think we just about got all the same options.
I promise not to copy the eagle, however. My tear will be aluminum, as
well. With the weather being so beautiful, out hear in California, right now, this will be a long wait...Hey Cary, when do I get my tear????

Oh, one more thing, Paul, I changed my mind, and I'm having my tear
delivered. I chickened out on driving across the country, to pick it up.
Poor Cary, at CampInn has had to put up with me, changing my mind,
a few times!!!

Looks great Jan!! I'm not sure what is worse - waiting to start seeing assembly photos - or seeing assembly photos and deciding you want the finished product Pronto !!

My Camp-Inn is tucked into a storage shed until April. It would be nice to use when the weather breaks around here, but I am hesitant to get it covered with salt

You are lucky, when you get yours, you can just go - go - go !
Cheers,
Gail

Hi Gail,

Yeah, your right, it's getting tough, to tough it out!!! Cary, at CampInn,
said it just gets worse, after the first pictures, and he was so right.
We've been having such beautiful weather, I'am almost looking forward,
to more rain. At least then, I won't be chapping at the bit.
