Air Conditioner - 99 dollars

Postby Guy » Sun Feb 06, 2005 3:46 pm

Does anyone know about these Carrier air conditioners?

Says it takes 5 amps and 505 watts- that is pretty efficient.

Guy, I don't know anything about that particular A/C unit, but if I had 99 clams, I'd buy it..in fact, i might have to sell some blood to get me one.. :R

The remote plus the digital thermostat is worth the extra $ vs a less expensive manual set-up. A 5400 btu unit is a lot of cooling power for a small volume. With a digital thermostat you can set the temperature vs an analog unmarked dial. I have both types and prefer the type you are looking at. The remote is a neat feature. Better than getting up to fine tune the thermostat or fan speed.
