If it's not broken, you're not trying hard enough.

Frank and Jim,

I am glad you got to see Jakes unit and Tom's unit over the weekend. We don't have too many of ours down your way.

The fenders are 14ga stainless steel. The ones you saw are made out of house for us. The place uses a laser to cut the pieces out then TIGs them in a fixture. Then the whole thing goes in a big sander to get smoothend out and give it the brushed finish. Welding one up yourself in SS is a bit tricky if you don't have the right welder. But, doing a regular steel one and painting it isn't too hard.

I like your suggestion too Frank. I could throw a big piece of paper on one and trace it out for a patern for $10.00 if you are interested in taking a wack at it.

Let me know, it would be cool to see some one else doing a Camp-Inn type of fender on their homebuilt.

Cary,
Have you guys ever considered doing at least the roof of one of your woody sided units out of copper? (No patina jokes please)

Methinks you're the only person to try that Dean. I was hoping for a cow pattern...

Dean,

You know, I having been biting my tongue on that discussion. We actually do have a plan to build a all copper unit just for show. We have such a huge backlog right now we just can't spare the time to work in a fun unit like that. We are thinking copper plating the fenders, edge trim and everything.

So, it is good to know that we are not the only ones with such a thought. Oh, by the way. Our theory is that a all cherry interior would look correct against the copper. What do you think?

Copper plated Camp-Inn fenders..... :awesome:

Here's an idea for you...
When you guys reach a milestone number, like 1000 for example, do that one to mark the milestone.

OK,
500 it is!... and that one needs to go straight to the RV museum!

Or... Raffled off for a worthy cause!
