Heat for Teardrop

Postby Mark Mckeeman » Mon Feb 14, 2005 9:04 am

Hi Folks,

Carried over from another string on heat for teardrops.

The traditional RV combustion furnaces like the one here is relatively large and expensive.

Has anyone had any experience with these catalytic heaters? They should be more than enough for a traditional teardrop and their small and quiet too.

PS Heres another link to compare prices and specs.

We have camped out in temps as low as 30 degrees and have found no need for heat. Get under the covers and in a very short perod of time the tear gets plenty warm from body heat only And I'm a very co;d person.

Mark,
We have used a coleman personal heater, just to warm up the tear before retireing to bed, and was very happy and warm.

get a coleman duel sock propane lanturn, stick it in your tear about 10 minutes before you check in, and it'll be warm and toasty when you crawl in bed

A little creative flex duct work and you are definitely warm. It might feel a bit like a smoker though.
