Battery Box Requirements??

Postby Steve Frederick » Wed May 19, 2004 7:43 pm

I'm gonna use a tongue box for the battery and tools, etc. I know that there is a vent needed to relieve any hydrogen?? gas build up? My box is a left over weather proof electrical box with a seal and locks...Quite tight. What is the collective thought on preparing the box for battery storage?
Thanx in advance, Steve
P.S. Mike, Did I see a pic of your setup somewhere??
P.P.S Dumb question, On a 12 volt power outlet, which is the ground, center or ring??

Most batteries today are sealed so you shouldn't have to worry about any gas build-up. My box is sealed tight except where I have the wiring coming into the box.

Have a good day,

Mike, Is that a special battery box, hose, vent? Or can I go a scroungin'?
Thanx for posting the pic.
