Paint done, decals applied!

Postby mikeschn » Thu May 20, 2004 4:31 pm

Well I've been playing again... :D

After the second coat of paint it looked good to me. That of course meant it was time to put the door back on and get those "tacky graphics" applied. Here's what I came up with. What do you guys think?

I like the BAJA BENROY but I would add some more flames, make it a little bolder. What vehicle you pullin it with? The VW? Is there a way to incorporate the main tow vehicle into the trailer? Ex.. my tow vehicle is a Jeep Wrangler and I am planning to follow its paint scheme, body lines etc if possible. Of course when its hooked up to the Town and Country minivan its not gonna match. What about adding fender flares to it? Being a BAJA- offroad type i assume. Flares could add some character.
BTW .It looks sweet as is.
Congrats

Looks great Mike! 8) The graphics look great. The amount of white space works.

Is it campin' time this weekend?

I want to hear all of the details, likes, dislikes, etc.

That is a sweet job. You did yourself proud. I think you've got the right amount of graphics. Did you have the graphics made and are they vinyl? Again, great job, Mike.

Thanks guys.

I also took the picture to work. There they said I could add a porthole window in the front top. It's an idea. As for the fenders, it's going to get rubber jeep style fenders. I have a picture of that somewhere. But I'll probably just get the fenders on this weekend, and get some new pictures.

I still have to skin the hatch, and paint it. So I am not ready to camp just yet. Plus they are calling for rain all weekend.

Do your "Rain Rain Go Away" dance Mike. We're supposed to be out at the Tin Can Tourist's Rally at Camp Dearborn in Milford this weekend with our Benroy but haven't gone out yet due to the rain. We'll be there on Saturday for sure, but I hate missing the rest of the rally....

Thanks Mike.

I think all of the rain came to Lillooet, as this is the first time we've had rain for a long time (a couple of months) and now it looks like it's going to rain all weekend.

Oh, well, we need the rain to keep the forest fires down.

From not-so-sunny Lillooet :(

Went to the rally anyway ... had a fantastic time. What a great group of trailers that was assembled there. The thunder and lightning was incredible ... not to mention the downpour! We ended up setting up our canopy over the teardrop and put 3 of the sides up (tear was 4th side) which worked out fantastic. We stayed nice and dry and had privacy for sleeping / changing / etc. There were a couple of homebuilt teardrops there that were pretty interesting. Can't wait to get out again soon ... hopefully WITHOUT the storms![/img]
