Saturdays Work

Postby Wild Mike » Mon May 24, 2004 2:20 pm

I uploaded 4 photos of where I'm at now to the album at http://community.webshots.com/album/134505326WvUOXT

As I mentioned before I'm building this at a friends house and he's getting a big kick out of watching and occasionally helping. His wife has been loooking at it and thought it was pretty cool ... so he says ... when can I start ours ? She didn't jump right in with the project (they have 2 small kids). I'm thinking she's the hotel camping type.

I did use 2 different types of insulation ... one sheet of the extruded close cell foam and 1 package of precut sections of the little balls sheets.

The small frame in rear wall is for a window I found at an RV Surplus. It cranks out for extra ventilation.

I'm hoping to finish the roof tonight and to lift it off the frame and undercoat the bottom of it.

Hey Mike!
The Tear looks really nice! You have come a long way! Won't be long 'til you'll be sleeping in it! It looks like you shouldn't get hot feet with that small window!
Keep up the nice work, Steve
