Out of the shop.....

Postby tdhombre » Sun Jun 06, 2004 6:53 pm

OK - I have finally put the official stamp of "FINISHED" on my teardrop. I have been working on this thing since January and finally got to the point of being able to have in complete enough to use. Only problem is that domestic and international travel will delay the maiden voyage until sometime in July.

In any case, its as done as it's going to get until we have had a shake down cruise and decide on what else (if anything) will be added or changed.

Whew...... :D

Check out my personal album for a couple of pictures. The avitar is also a bit of a glimpse.

Hi Dave,
Hey, that looks very good! I like the running boards along the sides. Bet those come in very handy.
Can you add some inside pics in the future? I'd like to see that too!

OK, I took a couple of pictures of the inside and added them to my personal album. Probably should have done that initially.

Dave,
Really pretty Tear! Is the covering paint, or painted metal. I especially like those fenders and running boards, nice metalwork!
Great job!

Dave .... You Did it ... have not seen you sence we were at the Morro Bay car Show at the teardrop trailer pulled by a truck with a teardrop built in the bed. Maybe you can build your second one to fit the truck bed.

I will try and stop by and see you and it before end of july when you will be come ... gone.

What does "Peter of MacTrailers" think of it.

I had not seen it sence before you put the alum. sides on.

Very Good Job.

The covering is coated .040 aluminum. I can't take any credit for either the fenders or the running boards as they were merely acquired from my local supplier - Peter "Mac" Ward of Mac-Bult Teardrops here in Morro Bay. He was also my Technical Advisor throughout the build process. I just mounted them up!
