Galley progress

Postby Steve Frederick » Sun Jun 06, 2004 9:26 pm

Hello all,
I managed to get the galley mostly done this weekend, while helping hunnie with a garage sale!
I stole...er adapted ideas seen on sites of other builders plus a few solutions to my own space issues.
Here are some shots of the results so-far.

I'll add a drawer above the icechest tommorrow, I had to do it over after getting distracted with garage sale visitors' questions about my project...maybe a few new folks interested???
Thanx for the support, Steve

I really like the Aquatainer under the sink. That's what they do in the T@B (gasp) did I say a bad word?

Anyways, they have a clear tubing running from the aquatainer to the faucet. That's where they pump their water from.

Very cool idea. "IF" I ever put water in mine, that's how I'll do it!!!

Mike!
The plan is to pipe the 'tainer to the hand pump faucet, stole the idea from Mike Spicer! I finished the drawer today. All that's left are the doors for the lower cabinets.
The wheels came back from the tire shop,Vintique chrome smoothies with baby moon hubcaps. I got a deep cycle battery while I was there too!
The last coat of epoxy is done today. It'll cure while I'm off north on some bussiness. When I get back, varnish!!! On the exterior and in the galley!... A little wiring to the tow and battery, mounting the fenders, doors, some plumbing, and YAHOO!! Let's Go Camping!!
Thanx, everyone, for the support and encouraging words!

I agree, lets go camping.

Where did you get that round sink? I like it... might consider adding that to mine later this year!!!

Mike,
It's actually a 5quart stainless steel mixing bowl, $4, at Walmart! It sits loosely in the counter. No drain, just pick it out to empty. I bought a spare in the event that a critter takes it.
