Measure twice, drill once..

I'm putting my long awaited shelves in my tear... I needed one support to be removable, so I decided to put 3/8" pegs in to hold the vertical shear load on the wall... then a couple of screws to hold in in place.... great piece of engineering...... forgot the walls are only 1-1/4" thick... now have a 1/4" hole straight to the outside..... not a big deal, will use some caulk (white to match the paint).... but, it did give me pause..... as did the shelf spacing 12. 5 inches between the shelves.. tv, 12.75 inches tall..... but that turned out ok.

My id should be "never_a_dull_moment_duh"...

Been there, done that. You should see the pile of scraps under the trailer from my "great engineering".
