Taking a break

Postby Gage » Tue Jun 15, 2004 7:10 pm

Has anyone gotten so uptight with thier teardrop project that they couldn't figure out what to do next? I have and the way I handled that was to put the tools down, grab momma and go for a drive. Sometimes hook up the Dalton and take off for the week end. Wouldn't even think Teardrop. Then when I came back and started up again, my mind was fresh and things started to get done again. Just thought I'd pass that on. Some times it's needed.

Talk about taking a break. After working steady for three years on my trailers, it's time for me to take a break and do some other stuff for a month or so. Like getting back into graphics and animations. Just another hobby of mine that I know a little about. Now all I have to do is find a program I have and load it on this computer. The first thing I'm going to do is replace the surfer dude with my truck & teardrop. Thanks Steve.

Have a good day,

Gage,
I love the animation stuff. Very cool signature...I'll have to look around for one!
Bob is sick of working on the teardrop...still haven't replaced/fixed the galley hinge end leaks. We're either going to buy new if we can get the old one off without wreaking anything or fix it with Jerry's fix.
Either way, we're not moving very quickly. And not doing much camping either until it's fixed!
Have fun on your "teardrop" break... I need to get back in my radio room more again!

There are so many different ways to build a teardrop, it was almost impossible for me to pick one and go with it. Didn't know what to do next. It's well under way now and the more that gets done, the easier it is to stay with one consistent plan.

You're talking about burn-out it sounds like, and that can be miserable. I try to get totally occupied in something else until the urge returns on its own.

Know the feeling, Gage - after a quarter century of reenacting & rendezvous, trailers are my break.

Gage for a break we are going TENT camping tommorrow at a walkin site! No teardrop to suck back gas, don't have to attach a trailer to the car or back into a spot. No going back and forth to get stuff from the car. No opening of a galley hatch and no answering all the questions from 'visitors'...

We will be on our yearly spot at Bon Echo Provincial Park as shown here...

Kate will be enjoying our walkin site with some fine wine, a magazine, and the best view of the famous Bon Echo Rock in the whole park...
