Appliance paint... ok for inside icebox?

Postby beverlyt » Sun May 29, 2005 11:42 am

Anyone know if it's ok to use appliance paint "inside" an older icebox?

It sure would look better. Just want to make sure since it will be used to store food.

We've used the stuff before with great results on the "outside" of appliances.

Tnx,
Bev

You're right it would look good, but I would probably use a 2-part epoxy paint. Either food grade or potable water safe.

Well, we went ahead and painted the inside with a epoxy appliance paint.

I called my brother in N.C. who use to work as a appliance repair man and he said it would be fine.

Everything is kept inside baggies, etc.. so I guess I'm not going to worry about it.....
