This one comes the closest..................but his trailer was also a lot higher than most.

I was thinking the same thing, some trailers may be too short for a form following enclosure. It will work for a T@B because you can already stand up in them.

In my case, it isn't--and it doesn't.

Gotta look for the silver lining SOMEWHERE.

And actually, since I mounted my axle below the springs, my TD towers over me.
Here we go again!

Thanks gentlemen.

Any enclosure I build will be hgher than the tear. Now I know the problem has been dealt with before and solved to the satisfaction of the builder/ owner.

The one with the drip coffee maker in the galley is really nice. An extra frame, set of poles or maybe an attached "hinged hoop" that raises the canvas near the tear above the end height should drain most of the water away.

"channel"??? Is that...

...something that is basically the canvas/ tarp folded and sewn over/ around a rope. The "sandwhich slips into a "channel". I saw it years ago on a popcorn trailer and it was used on the windshield of the M151 series jeeps. The "channel" is sort of a "J" with the tail of the "J" almost closed. Am I close? I have no idea if that sort of thing in done anymore or if there are new methods.

gailkaitschuck,

Check out my album for ummm... "cheap" and "tacky". But that creation in the bed of a Chevy S10 stood up to a storm that knocked down a normal tent. The plastic pipe I used was conduit.

Thats when I realized that I HAD to have a warm standup area. I ain't in my 20's no more.

Again, Thank You. Who knows maybe I'll try a question or two again... naww

This is a very old thread and I was wondering what others have done lately as far as an enclosure around their door. I really like how Gage did his enclosure. It looks like a simple and quick set-up and I'm leaning towards doing something like that myself.

I still like my telescopic pull out privacy curtain mount.

However I did swallow very hard just before I took a hole saw to the side of the teardrop.
