Ten years seven teardrops and a lot of camping miles. Not many posts but still check in regularly.

I joined on 07/28/06 so today is my ten year TNTTT anniversary.

Huell Howser's TV show California's Gold first piqued my interest in teardrop trailers. The video about a northern San Diego County, CA teardrop gathering is available to watch at Teardrops - California's Gold (6001)
Step back in time with Huell as he visits a weekend gathering of classic teardrop trailers. They sleep two, and have a built-in kitchen on the back all in a teardrop shaped trailer a little more than eight feet long.

Some were built by various manufacturers, but many were lovingly built or restored by hand from plans in a Popular Science magazine.

Mike, I've been waiting for you to call in.
More than 22,000 people have you to thank for this grand adventure. The hours you have given to this forum have been multiplied many times over by the good people who have found answers, entertainment, friendships and ideas because you took the time to create and nurture this little board. Here's a story...or a tall tale. I joined in '05 as "handyman". Never made a post just browsed for a year. Then had a computer crash...lost all passwords. Tried to search but never could log back in. Of course didn't write the password down anywhere. Looking back on it Mike probably could have got the password! Anyway..created a new "handle" and password in late 06 so technically not ten years yet. But 30 campers later still have the passion!

:D I am oldie here, and lurked on Dean's name for a long time. He was the first " admin " after Mike established this teardrop playground. 8) He still posts, but I type faster. lol

I built my first teardrop in fall of 2003 but did not join this forum until Feb 2005. Have since built, repaired or otherwise owned 11 more teardrops. I don't post much anymore as there seem to be more topics that I have no interest about and fewer posts that pique my curiosity.
