I think I joined in 2009? Maybe? Several different teardrops later, I’ve retired and I’m now selling my 2017 ~325lb motorcycle pullable tiny teardrop 4x8’. I pulled it with a MINI Cooper. Holler if you’re interested!

* I thought this thread was long gone, but I passed the ten-year point seven months back, on 10-4-2021. I'm still using my first and only squareback trailer (not a true conventional teardrop, but a heck of a lot closer to one than all the conversions, vardos, etc. that appear here regularly). Whatever floats your boat

* My trailer is not ever finished, even though I've said "no more modifications" many times. I just added something after my last trip. I visit here everyday, though most of my camping friends may not, anymore. But, at 10 years of experience here, I'm still considered a relative beginner (to them).
2013 HHRv "squareback/squaredrop", rugged, 4x8 TTT, 2225 lbs
  • *3500 lb Dexter EZ-Lube braked axle, 3000 lb.springs, active-progressive bumpstop suspension
  • *27 x 8.5-14LT AT tires (x 3) *Weight Distribution system for single-beam tongue
  • *100% LED's & GFCI outlets, 3x fans, AM/FM/CD/Aux. *A/C & heat, Optima AGM, inverter & charger(s)
  • *extended-run, on-board, 2500w generator *Coleman dual-fuel stove & lantern, Ikea grill, vintage skillet
  • *zinc/stainless front & side racks *98"L x 6" diameter rod & reel carrier tube on roof

Holy cow, Rose is a teenager now! Done? Surely you jest. A teardrop is never "done".

* Does lurking count? Then, I spent 5 years lurking on Expedition Portal, where I found out about TnTTT, where I lurked maybe two years more (meanwhile drawing up various plans) before starting actual work on the trailer, three days before I joined the forum

* Perhaps I should say 17+ years ???? 7 years lurking & dreaming of camping trailers, 1.9 years from starting the build to camping in it, and 8.6 years actually camping/modifying (rinse/repeat cycles) in the trailer.

Trying to stay alive to make 20 years. Sold the teardrop long ago and passed my trailer on to my nephew two years ago. Now I am a geriatric lurker but still moving on my own, most of the time. :D

If lurking counts, then I think I am at the 10 year mark! I officially joined the forum in Jan of 2014, got my trailer in the spring of 2015, and built most of it 2015-16. I keep adding new mods, so it is never really finished. It has Propex heat now, a LiFePO4 battery, and a Raspberry Pi micro-computer to monitor the battery and charging over cellular. :D

I enjoyed reading about trailers like the ROAM that gave me inspiration for my build, making relationships with folks and getting good advice during my own build process, and helping others here and there when I can.

I believe that I have been lurking since 2010.
I have wisdom beyond my years. In fact, I'm nearly senile.

Getting close to the 10 year mark. Just built the one with my wife, at the time.
Its still used for occasional trips to see the grandchildren, Not much in camping.
Too many allergies now to deal with. I also enjoy following the forum daily.
