On the road - need tire shop in Portland, OR

We are traveling up the Oregon coast and will be in the Portland area towards the weekend. One of the tries on our Little Guy is looking suspect. Can anyone provide a recommendation for a tire shop in the Portland area?

Les Schwab........they are everywhere.

Discount Tires - they have the SS and T@G tires in stock at their centralized warehouses, takes a day but if you call ahead they can have it waiting. Make sure it is balanced - they charged a fellow TDer (a woman) for it but did not do it. Might have been an over site at that shop as we have had great luck with our local guy.

I took my 1948 teardrop in there to have my wheel bearings repacked. The tech said he had never seen bearings like that, and didn't charge me.

I'll add another vote for Les Schwab. I took a trailer wheel to them that was pretty beat up after a flat along with the tire I had picked up at another place. I said to the guy "I bet you can't get this to take the bead." He put it on and didn't charge me. I know others who have had good experiences with them as well.

If you're on the coast there is a Les Schwab in Tillamook. You can also grab some cheese.
