Most people use the cheap camel hair brushes. You can also get rollers made for epoxy. The dime store/box store rollers fall apart from epoxy from what I have heard.

Doing overhead is going to be rough to do. If anyway possible I would recommend flipping it over. With no experience doing over head it is going to lead to one massive mess on you and everything else.

If you go with epoxy rollers have a closed can with acetone in it. Drop the roller in it before the epoxy flashes. Close the lid. Just roll over a cloth and clean for next usage of roller.

I 2nd the chip brushes and plastic spreaders as long as they are disposable (mostly the brushes) I would strongly caution against cleaning epoxy tools/implements with acetone. Epoxy is seemingly very safe to work with and for the most part it is. What isn't always understood, because you don't get a headache, is that epoxy can create some nasty health problems. Coming from surf industry "know how" I've developed some rules for myself which include: gloves, a respirator when sanding, and no acetone. If you are questioning my caution have a read here : http://www.swaylocks.com/forums/sensitive

I will second the respirator use. My dad thinking in terms of polyester resins from the 60s and 70s, was sanding West Systems epoxy. Almost got himself hospitalized from sensitivity to the chemicals. He now has a small fresh air source pump to a full mask. It can be bad stuff if the directions are not followed.

When building model boats I would use a hair drier to move it around to get into cracks and crevices. This would be smaller amounts than this, and the heat thins it out so it moves faster, BUT it also causes it to set up faster. Plastic squeegees are good for large amounts to move it around and then the rollers . I wouldn't want to try anything overhead.
Good luck, Les

In the boat building world we spread epoxy in every angle and situation imaginable. We use cheap throwaway chip brushes and foam rollers. Use a drop cloth and prepare for a mess! It's all part of the epoxy fun...
