Thanks Tony, that's a cool website. Might have to plan for a long weekend camping in Cherokee, NC... Or Georgetown Beach, SC.

Hi Tony
Marrianne is on it!
There has been talk and planning going on for the past couple of months now.
Looks like T.O.W. will be the unofficial host of a campout tentatively scheduled for Shaniko OR.
Negotiations are currently underway to rent the whole town for a Teardrop event! ;)
Sure hope you can make it!

Brian:

I figured you guy's would have a hard time not slipping across the border for this one. We need to find an old Comanche war manual and figure out how to do the sundance. Make sure we've got a blue sky day.

Thanks for posting that link Tony. It looks like a good reason to plan a trip South. I also found this site: http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/SEgoogle/SEgoogle2001/SE2017Aug21Tgoogle.html

It lets you zoom in on google maps to see the eclipse path. Looks like a good time to visit Grand Teton. Maybe take the tram up at Jackson Hole and watch the eclipse from the top.

My wife and I plan on being in Athens Tenn for this event right near the path of totality. I have been waiting for this day for 34 years. My Teardrop will play a important role in it also.

Oregon State Parks sent me an email the other day on the subject.
Seems they have rules for advanced bookings.

I had one of their sandwiches and it was great!! It's been over 2 months since I had it and I haven't been sick yet nor did Jim say anything bad about it at the Last Gasp about it being he had one too. Shaniko is a neat town!!

Thanks Danny for posting that information about Oregon campground reservations. I never thought we would have to plan so long in advance. I would think no place more scenic than the Oregon coast to watch the eclipse but apparently there is about a 2/3 chance of cloudy skies in August. Slow might have the best seat in the country out in his cow pasture.
