What's it called?

Postby VT800C » Mon May 01, 2017 9:32 am

My other half thought I was nuts when I said I wanted to name my trailer. "You name a boat, not a camper.."!

well I can't just keep calling it 'My Camper' or My Teardrop' or even 'my project' (I guess I could, but...)

ok, the question is: Is your trailer named, and if so, what is it and why? if not, why not?

I don't have a camp trailer yet, but yes you should name it. People name their vacation homes. Isn't a camper just a mobile vacation home?

Ordered trailer, haven't started building yet. But wing and prayer is my working name.

I decided to let my teardrop name itself. I figured a name would arise from a situation or a peculiarity, but none has, in 6 years and 50,000 miles, so it's still just "the teardrop"

I refer to mine as the "Sin Bin", mostly to annoy the wife.

We call our camper "The Camper". It has been said that we have as much imagination and originality as Efrem Zimbalist Jr.'s parents. :)

Of course we named it! Monstro after the whale in moby dick. Cause the front looks like a whale. We also have a whale theme.

My favorite so far.

Mine is named "Camper", "Camper the-Franken-Tear" for short.

The name Camper follows naming convention as my truck is, quite aptly, named Truck.

The "Franken-tear" comes from it being a monstrous creation of a teardrop piece-mealed together from mostly reclaimed materials.

There are quite a few that have a theme i.e. Green Lantern with a picture of a Coleman lantern with curtains and quilt using a camping theme.
I chose Compass Rose as a theme, a map symbol of journeying, and created a graphic logo and had a local shop make the skin.
My wife made a quilt using a compass rose pattern and there is a brass compass rose in the galley.

One advantage of unique graphics, if stolen, easier to find.
