U-Haul Propane tanks recalled

Saw this on the news this morning. Recalled are 1 pound refillable tanks. It is the manufacturer that did the recall and not known why.

I just saw this brand of refillable tank for sale along with their refill system at my local REI store last week when I was there. What was puzzling to me was their production dates I saw printed on the tanks in relation to the 12 year rule that all other propane tanks have to adhere too. The ones I was looking at, were dated '09 and '11 - Thought about buying one until I saw this, but not knowing if the same 12 year rule applies to these I decided not too. Well after reading this recall notice, am glad I made this chose.
