California State Parks
New Reservation System
Dear Outdoor Enthusiast:

We’re launching a new state park reservation system on August 1, 2017 ‐ ‐ ReserveCalifornia™ ‐ ‐ to provide user‐friendly web services and greater accessibility to more visitors for the highly sought-after camping and lodging locations. California State Parks appreciates the support of our reservation provider for the past decade, ReserveAmerica, as we transition to our new vendor.

A variety of new features will be phased‐in between August 1 and March 1, 2018, including moving from first‐of‐the‐month on‐sale days to a new rolling window reservation service.

Below is the breakdown of the features and key important dates:

July 26, 2017 beginning at Midnight

Website and telephone reservations for California's state parks will be temporarily offline to prepare the exciting launch of the new system on August 1. During this time, all existing reservations will be honored.

August 1, 2017
The new system ‐‐ ReserveCalifornia™ ‐‐ goes live!
Reservations can be made online ‐ http://www.ReserveCalifornia.com ‐ or by phone at 800-444-PARK (7275)
We invite you to try the new features including:
Additional self‐service options
More campsites available for online reservation
Interactive campsite maps with more detailed views of campsites
Rolling Window: Visitors will be able to reserve campsites and lodging six months from the current date. Camping and lodging inventory will become available each day for a period of six months in advance. Bookings may extend from the arrival date to the desired departure date ‐ based on availability and the park’s maximum stay rules
Other new features we’re working to bring you by March 2018
Ability to view your reservations in real‐time
More payment options and information to make it easier for you to plan your visits
Each year, over 67 million of you visit California’s state parks to enjoy more than 340 miles of coastline, 970 miles of lake and river frontage, 15,000 campsites and 4,500 miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, and a variety of off-highway recreation. You inspire us with the amazing photos you share with us and stories of why California’s state parks are important to you and your families. Your stories make us work harder to connect people from all over the world to these incredible places. Your new reservation system ‐‐ ReserveCalifornia™ ‐‐ is the latest improvement to share with you.

For more information on the new reservation system, such as FAQs or to sign up for updates, please visit http://www.ReserveCalifornia.com. Don't forget to tag us on Facebook and Twitter ‐ #CAStateParks and #InventYourAdventure.
