So my plan, not yet set in stone or plywood, is to have a low camper with a lift up roof with ideas from the Compact 3 and Squidget 2 designs. The walls below the flip up can be no more than 5 feet if I want to be able to put the camper in the garage. That will help with aerodynamics too. I have a good idea of how I will build the flip up walls to raise the roof so that I don't have to stoop inside my standie but the door is not coming together as easily.
Maybe the door is simply hinged on the inside and folds down, then up with latches on the outside when in use. No, if the door opens outward then I can't hinge it in the inside, maybe it just detaches completely when not in use.
