The prep phase. A man with a computer, GPS and a plan. What could possibly go wrong?

I got to give him credit he doesn't mind putting custom pin striping on the Outback and tear.

If he would use that way of finding camp sites in AZ he might be surprised by the road conditions even though it is a state road or highway. You can see stuff on Google Earth and it looks like a wide dirt road. But is could be rutted and steep. I find that to be an unreliable way to find routes.

Ya I am a total newbie to the navigate by chip thing. Its an exercise in trying something new and having fun... or something like fun.

I did not want to be in the basement sorting screws from washers or sucking on the TV boob consuming drug commercials in retirement.

But I am getting lots-O-ideas on how to improve my scenario from others on You Tube.
