Plywood rounded corners standie

Postby Patrick Star » Tue Nov 20, 2018 9:19 pm

So I'm about to make my plywood corners on my Caveman 13 build.

It's the '73 Caveman camper plans off ebay, but I'm making it longer

Anyways it has rounded corners on the top and my wall studs are 1 x 1.5 actual.

Would luan plywood be suitable for the corner? They have some 1 inch wide luan with a high number of laminated layers in it.

I was also thinking of gluing 2 1/2 inch plywood pieces together and cutting my corners out of that.

Basically looking for advice on what plywood to use that would be 1 inch thick and make a strong corner.

I need to start a build thread!

I'm hoping to find plastic profile sections ready-made, maybe from OTR trailer building industry source?

I really doubt those guys are molding their own.

Full length for front and sides top edges, compound curves for all two front top corners.

Suggestions welcome, sorry to OP if you think OT.

That would be cool to find them premade.

I'm gonna cut mine from plywood

Even got a good deal at the pawn shop on a nice jig saw.
