2. When building your floor, do you build a sub floor then lay the 1/2 inch plywood on top?
3. DO you treat the bottom of the wood with anything as to say it from rottinG?
4. What size pieces of wood do you use to frame up your insides?
5. Is it necessary to insulate ther trailer?
6. After putting the wall up , i have seen many people refer to the inside wall. whats the difference?
6. Mike I noticed that your baja was a "pretty" white. How did you achieve this?
7. With all of the thgns that I want to install in mine electronically, would I be able to install a betterey and run a generator? or wuld I be better off just running a generator,. Its kinda funny everyone wants to go camping in it now. one problem its not even built yet!!!!!!!!!!!!
8. What size walls should I be using on my tailgater (not the one you designed mike) a 5x10 design of my own with a lot stolen from your idea

This question I know the answer to. It is a type of wood, similar to mahogany. Because it comes from a tree that grows in the rainforest it has a lot of moisture in it, thus it tends to repel moisture.

You usually buy it in the form of plywood. Home Depot carries it in 1/4 and 1/8 inch thicknesses. They come in 4 x 8 sheets. I am using 1/8 inch for the skin on the wall, roof and ceiling.

It goes on the "bones". See my pictures. After you frame the walls for more support you insulate the wall between the frame. The "skin gets attached to the wood you use for framing. I used 1 x 2's.

Tailgatingnut,
I understand where Tom is coming from! Even with a set of plans, I had more than enough questions!

The plans just make your trailer building experience a whole lot easier...at least they did for us. We didn't have any building experience and couldn't have got along without them.

Bev

P.S. Ours is insulated and I wouldn't be without it.
