Lift out camp pod

Postby alloffroad » Tue Jul 23, 2019 9:37 pm

I have an opportunity to build my own tt. I want to use my 5x10 utility trailer as the base. My thought it to install camper jacks to lift it out of the trailer bed so i don't have to replace the trailer. 2 for 1 deal, you know. I haven't even started plans yet. Got a lot of research ahead of me but any input would be awesome. I did some searching and didn't find anything like what i am looking to do. I also wonder if it would be just to heavy for the 4 jacks. Thanks

Look at my build thread. I lift mine off regularly with 4 car jacks welded to stands

You are welcome. That's what I like about this forum. I have taken heaps of inspiration from others but ended up with my own design that suits my needs and used what I had available.
I am sure you will do the same.

So. The heavy duty jacks have a combined lift capacity of 6000 lbs. That will be MORE than enough to lift the "pod" off the trailer bed.
