Teardrop Repair

Postby Katewels » Fri Jun 19, 2020 3:22 pm

Hi everyone, I have Signatour teardrop trailer. It started leaking shortly after I bought it. I didn’t realize it was leaking at first because the leak blended in with the wood. I thought I had sealed it but it started leaking again. So it has been leaking for a few years. I’m concerned about mold in the walls now. It has a metal skin. How would one go about seeing what’s behind those walls? I am in west central Florida. Does anyone know of someone who would do as good job checking for mold and repairing it? It does have a musty odor. Thank you for your help.

How old is it? Have you talked to SignaTour?

Without photos, the diagnosis and fix will be difficult.

The easiest way is get a vibrating saw . cut inside skin small area . plan to cover with something nice .That way you can see . Frist #1 before you do anything do a tap test .Take a quarter tap the wall for changing sounds. At the shop To find hard to find leaks ,Can foam Spray a SMALL bit 30 to 1 expanding rate. will seal and come out any holes IN he picture .Could not even see the holes by just looking

Okay thanks for the info. I tried to upload photos but wasn’t able for some reason. What size hole should I start with and if I do find mold and/or damage what would the next step be?

Hi! Sorry for reviving a necro thread, but I have a similar issue. Besides, it's getting worsen because of the leak mold and mildew appear everywhere. I try to use mold removal sprays, but it's a temporary solution. So, if you know how to fix it, pls let me know

As I mentioned to the original poster, nobody can diagnose without looking at the problems. Photos.

That, of course, is for houses, not teardrops. This fellow is a spammer, who has no clue what this forum is about. :stompspam:

BTW, it looks like "dominykass" and "deanepersson" are the same spammer. (If I'm wrong, post a reply, and I will apologize.) :stompspam:

Given the nature of the posts, Shelly suggested it might be an Artificial Idiot (AI).
