I've always wanted a wench on/in my truck. ;)

I think that collar around the hitch tube is supposed to stop any spread.

I can work with that! Since my wire equal or exceeds my steel.. then me thinks a bead or 3 should be just about right. Just to stop the spread of anything 'crawlin' or wigglin'. :beer:

I spent a lot of my years welding things and still don't have it all figured out :(
It does confuse me that while pulling (Privately owned) trees over with a little jeep and a 8000 lb winch the winch stops before it lift's the jeep :QM
Same thing different 8000 lb winch battery setup 8000 Lbs of flotation the winch stops before the floats sink.
I have also learned they can hurt you bad :oops:
Here is a easy way to hide your hitch welds but it takes 9 year's, I better see if I need to clean it.
Another idea winching things in the trailer.
Front or back; you always want the other, We left them in a box or under a seat.
