Travel Trailer Colors!!!

Postby Dahlia47 » Wed Jan 11, 2023 6:09 pm

I am looking to repaint my travel trailer a different color. I am kinda tired of the sky blue. And it needs new paint anyways. I usually put a new coat every year.
So, my Jeep is black. I dont want to paint it black. That will get very hot here in South Central Texas for the TT. The top half will stay white. The bottom needs a new coat and color. And no red. Cant stand red or orange. Blech!
Any color combos you think will look nice?

Tan helps hide the dirt. As long as you're camping in tan dirt.

Reflective aluminum/silver (silo paint) on top, front and hatch, and grey acrylic enamel "Massey-Ferguson" (tractor paint) on the sides. Trimmed/outlined with Rustoleum gloss black enamel. All sourced at Tractor Supply.

A tip about Texas camping: no matter what color you paint your trailer, cover it with a canopy and use an awning (or canopy side panels) to shade it from direct sun. Also helps during T-storms. And my 5k btu A/C can cool my trailer to sub<60F after a 100+F day.

I was delighted with the colour scheme chosen by the lady who bought my last build.

The trick to painting the outside of an RV depends mostly on your patience and having steady hands. A little knowledge of spray paint helps a lot too. Before you start painting, you need to prepare the surface to be painted. A little preparation ahead of time will make this whole project a lot less complicated than it should be. This can also lead to better results.

Man, y’all have some pretty rigs!

I see in another post that Dahlia chose a colour similar to what Mick posted.

I’m in the process of painting my lil standy build right now. I chose a colour scheme I spotted on a Scotty, I think it’s a simple, sweet, classy look
