LucaBond anyone use this?

Postby Eric Adams » Sun Aug 22, 2004 9:56 pm

I am thinking of using LucaBond (speeled right?) for the sides on my teardrop. Its basicly dense plastic sandwiched between 2 sheets of thick allumnum. Its used on alot of doors on BBQ smokers. Anyone use this before? I plan on insulating the inside with pink styrofoam stuff before I finish out the inside.

Here's the link to their site.

Haven't used it but it sure sounds interesting. The Dibond for sign making might have uses also.
The tiny trailer in the avatar is designed to carry our recumbents and sometimes sleep in. We LOVE having a kitchen in the woods and a place for most of our gear.

They make this stuff at a plant 35min from me. Benton, KY. I'll probably use it on my outside walls. Will post a review when I get it installed. :)

This stuff would be interesting for a Weekender. Problem is, you've have to cover the edges with aluminum angle. Trying to stay away from that!

Mike...
The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten, so build your teardrop with the best materials...
