Post inside pics of the sleeping area of your teardrop...

I am getting ideas together and was wondering what all I could do with shelving, windows, etc. I am sure we could all get ideas in the quest of the neverending improvements on our TDs. :) So if you have (or can take) internal pics please do.

Eric,
Here are pics of the cupboards inside my trailer. The overhead cabinets have batteries, soap/shampoo, flashlights, cards, dice, bandaids...you name it, it's up there!

The back cupboards are used for tv/dvd player, clothes, fans, towels, etc. Since I didn't get a footwell table, Bob made me a table to slide out from underneath the cupboards. We use this to play dice/cards or set a cup of coffee, etc.. on.

Find good fasteners to secure your cupboards. Ours have to be strapped shut or they open and things spill out.

Eric, Here you go!

As Bev said, get a latch for the doors that will stay closed as you travel. I used locks that are typically used on double hung window sashes, actually "sash locks" . They cost $1.68 each, and lock with a healthy snap!
The bed is a 3" thick foam mattress, made to fit by a local mattress store/factory. We are adding a 2" memory foam topper later, as you can bottom out on the 3" of foam!

Here's my trailer set up for solo trips. I built a sleeping pallet and put a thick foam mattress on it. The pallet provides lots of storage room underneath. I sleep with my head at either end--depends on how I feel that evening. The cheap plastic table serves as a nightstand for water, clock, etc. when I have my head at the galley wall. Max cabin height of 4'-8" lets me sit on the bed with plenty of head clearance and a comfortable leg height.

The walls have not yet been varnished. Will probably get to that later this week.

The tiny trailer in the avatar is designed to carry our recumbents and sometimes sleep in. We LOVE having a kitchen in the woods and a place for most of our gear.
