Is that your final answer?

Postby mikeschn » Fri Sep 03, 2004 6:58 pm

Yes, this is my final answer. This is how the cabinet and the galley will be laid out. Furnace will be on the left (not visible in the photo), and a/c will be on the floor. There's lots of room for the feet, and plenty of storage too.

Now, if I've forgotten anything, this is the time to tell me!!! :D

Wise decision. Your learning. One of these days you'll learn to listen to me.

I must be missing something, from the 2 pics I don't see the vents for the AC unit.

BTW: I have a AC I am fidling with putting on my trailer now that I am going the 1800# trailer route. I figure I'll finish and it'll be code out though.

a/c on the floor at back with a vent sounds..... 'kool'. Instead of a louvered vent, could just have a solid cover, removable when needed. I'm liking this idea (the a/c on the floor at the back, that is).

Mike, what kinda wood is the galley counter made of? I like that grain. I bet with a few coats of spar varnish it'd look real nice! :)

Eric,

That's a pine panel that they sell at Home Depot, in the same aisle as the melamine. They come in 2'x4' or 2'x6' for example. It's a whole lot lighter than plywood, if you're not going to put anything heavy on it, otherwise you'll need to re-inforce it. I'll be reinforcing it...

Buford,

I had to evaluate all the options to make sure the first time builder was getting the best design possible, and one that was easy to build...

And a mighty fine job you are doing.

Keep up the good work.
