Wonder how secure they would be on these HF wheels?

I wonder the same.
Is a wheel a wheel as far as the flange goes or does it need something
special for a hubcap to work?

Do you think the valve stem on your wheels will be in the way?
I have the TSC trailer and I am not sure.

I bought some baby moons on E-bay for my HF tires. They are about 9" in diameter and about 2-1/4 inches deep. I was concerned about clearance too but they seem fine. I drilled and tapped 4, quarter-twenty holes and then installed round head bolts with locktight. It took some time to get it just right so that the caps would fit snug. No problems after 3 trips so far. They changed the whole look of the teardrop. It may be the single best thing I did for the trailer. George.

George,
Those look fabulous!
How did you determine where to drill the holes? I see me trying to do that and having the bolts not spaced correctly.

I found this link for volkswagen beetle hub cap clips........

this could have possiblities.

Love da baby moons!

Walter, those clips look interesting. I too would really like to use the baby moons, just need to make sure the installation is right.

Thanks for sharing the pictures George.

George, Those mooney's look great!
I can use those white spoke wheels that I have sitting in the shop now!
(spoke wheels, not cool on woodies)
I would go so far as to paint the wheels black..They would look very retro..No one would ever notice that they were spokers.
Can you tell us the brand?
Thanx!

Thanks guys, Where to drill the holes was a challenge. I first traced the outline of the hubcap on the rim. Then I estimated how far in from my outline I should drill and tap. I did 2 screws at opposite sides to test the fit the cap. Since the screws go in at an angle, the depth that the screws are driven and the size of the head can give you a little margin to make adjustments. Once the first 2 screws were set right I added 2 more at the same distance from the outline. Besides the locktite, I also added nylon lock nuts on the backside of the rim to keep the screws in place.
Had I known about those clips Walter, I may have tried those first.
There was not a brand name on these baby moons Steve. They may be imported. Rather than being a true disc they have a straight collar about 1 inch deep before the disc shape starts which helps the hubcap clear the wheel bearing assembly. George.
