Well we arrived in Princeton without a problem. We've got a bunch of Mule Deer walking around checking our trailer out. Probably wondering what the heck it's doing here or what food we've got for them to eat lol. Here is a pic of my daughter Ariana and our gear at our feet.

Congrats Kelly
Looks like you are the first ones out this season.
Good news is that it is warming up quickly. Forecasted to hit 20 or 21 degrees by Sunday. (17 today)
How far east are you coming?
Keep us posted!
Ariana looks happy to be camping.
I remeber Easter of 1961 coming out to Kelowna from Vancouver in a 1956 Ford PU with a plywood canopy on it. My mother, father, the dog, and myself slept in it with just a ton of blankets. As it turns out it was a weekend much like this. Unfortunately, the first or second day out I contracted Mumps, and remeber not having that much fun and got so sick that I had to sleep in the back of the truck all the way back to Vancouver with just the dog to keep me warm. There was no back on the canopy so I could lay there watching the trees go by as we crossed the Hope Princeton in the snow.
Oh, the good old days! I was 9 years old!

FWIW Steve, Princess Auto and Crappy Tire both sell them but I got mine through the local Timb-R-Mart building supply. I replaced the AA rechargeables inside the panel as well with some of the Energizer rechargeable you get at the grocery store. I paid as much for them as I did for the light, but the panel makes a great AA charger.

Yikes that's quite the story. Looks like I'm staying in the Princeton area this trip. Here's a pic of a couple of the many Deer we saw today.

We talked about numerous locations.
1. Onno & Chieko like the east ......over near Radium.
2. Closer to home we talked about Sunhine Valley in Manning Park
3. Camping along the north side of the Similameen River east of Princeton was discussed.
4. Area near Tullameen on the road between Princeton & Aspen Grove is wonderful and close for both ends of our Chapter.
5. You know me .....I would love to pop across the border south of the Okanangan.
But, it is not about us, as Sandi & i have already committeed all of our weekends (except Labour Day) until Sept. 15th.
This is the first feedback I have had since posting???

The other B.C.???? :?
Do you mean the part of B.C where the inhabitants don't own umbrellas? :R
Camping is so much more fun when it is not raining!
We were looking at places that would be similar travel distances for our lower mainland members and our interior members to meet for a joint campout.
Personally, I would love to host a gathering right here at "The Farm" in Beautiful downtown Westbank.

Steve
We re checked the calendar this morning and it looks like we might have some time June 2 to June 18th to squeeze in a Campout.
Just NO Friday or Saturdays!

Camping Season is getting closer for us and Miss Piggy is almost ready to go!
Worked on her until 3:18 am last night ( this morning)
Hoping for the big weigh in within the week.
Had 35 members of the Studebakers Drivers Club here for a meeting and garage tour today.
Some very nice comments on my 1/2 Studebaker trailer?? :D

I lived in Dawson Creek when I was young.
My only memories of it, are black flies & gumbo in the summer and frozen milk in the bottles and snow up to your a?? by Haloween.
Last place in the world that comes to mind when I here the word camping??? :?
There are so many much more beautiful places to see in both B.C. and Washington that are bug free and so much closer!

Well apparently Steve has been booted from the Forum.
I have yet to talk to him to find out what thread he responded to, or how he responded??
But, I do know he is a little miffed, as his comments where usually just a reflection of his sence of humor and not intended in a malicious way.
Good Roads to you Steve, hope you enjoy the camping season in your newly homebuilt teardrop and congratulations on finishing it while battling with cancer.
Glad to see you were a winner on both counts!
Now get out there and enjoy!!!
