Looking like an 11 hour run each way.

Hey Brian and Sandi - can you give your address or maybe just the city so I can see how far this is from Longview, WA? Thanks!

Longveiw would be about a 450 mile drive to Brian's place, just head north to Bellingham on I-5 - Bellis Fair/Guide Meriden north to Lynden crossing into Canada at either Abbottsford or Sumas, than on to and past Hope, BC taking Hy 5 north to Merett (nice drive over the top of the mountains with speed limits of 80 or so in spots!! great views!!) than east to Westbank (Kelona,BC) This isn't the route I took last year to Brian & Sandi's place, but it will be this year being it's the most direct and shortest route from my place here on Camano Island (exit 212 on I-5 and if I remember right you would be close to exit 36 for Longview - I took a longer route heading directly east from Hope instead.) They have a nice place and were great hosts!! even when showing up with no prior warning! sorry about that Brian! (he even chased me down the road waving for me to come back after I drove past his place when I missed his driveway) It's a good drive - go for it!!!!!

Thanks for the nice plug Ted.
But if I was looking for the shortest and easies drive from Longview like Greg, I would come due north on I-5 and turn off at Auburn onto I-90 over to Cle Elum, then over the Blewett Pass to Wenatchee, the north on 97 to my door step.
This is one of the flattest routes thru the Cascades when towing a TD. I like the diverse scenery on this route also.
Hope you can both make it.

either way is probably about the same distance and after I wrote and sent the message with my route I started thinking 97 could be another he could go also from where he lives. From my place, I will be going over the top of your "mountain range" (hy 5) this trip, haven't seen it since 03. Remember it being quite the scenic trip years ago. later

Hard to be excited about making plans for July when we look outside this morning and see snow falling on the Farm.
But, have been giving some thought to a registration form or registration online and a Registration Fee.
Does $30.00 sound reasonable to those of you that are considering attending???
Please give us some thought or suggestions.........especially our B.C. Chapter members!

We are making plans for this summers camping season and are planing on coming to BC. We are excited to finial make it to TD gathering.
$30.00 sound reasonable to us, now is that CDN or US dollars? ;) You've been to a few gatherings in the last year or so, is that about the going rate?

so how goes the battle up yonder?? things here are finally clearing off and getting warmer but still WET!! A lot of plans of things to do before the trips this year but the wet and cold stuff keeps messing with all of them. No this guy has no garage to do work in. It on the ground in the gravel for me. $30.00 sounds fine with me also. (still have $50 or so Canadian in the glove box left over from the last trip up north - better get it out of the S-10 glove box and put in the Colorado before I sell the S-10) Take care. Ted

Hi Jim & Jean
So glad you are considering our first attempt at gathering.
Have you not attended any "Gatherings" yet?
Last year was our first season of Gatherings........what a great time!....and such Great People!
We can't wait for this years season to begin.
By time ours gets here will have been to 4 other Gatherings in 2014, hopefully gathering ideas and participants for ours.
There is some beautiful country and a lot to see between your place and ours!
Just a suggestion.......plan your route so that you don't have to travel any of the same roads twice on your trip.
If we can be of any help or answer any question, please don't hesitate to ask.

Okay BC Chapter members of the Tear Jerkers........it is time for you to commit!
We have more USA members committed than our own members.
Just drop me an e-mail.
This event was originally planned to give us all an opportunity to meet and camp with each other in person!
Please contact us with your positive response!

Hey Brian & Sandi,

What is the address that I send our registration fee. I see that you live in West Bank, B.C., but I didn't notice a house number. I'm sure Miss Piggy is known far and wide, but I'm not sure your postal service know where she lives. :NC
