2016 Fall Crawl

Coming to Canada!
The thoughts for our 2 Annual Fall Crawl in 2016 are tentatively as follows:
1. It will be held a week earlier (1st week of September)
2. Tour will be around the Selkirk Loop (and may extend into Alberta to Waterton Lakes National Park)!
3. Changing the Farm Gathering date to the Labour Day weekend so we can use it as a start off point.
4. Having an optional extended week to take in another Gathering in Washington or Idaho
Lots of options at this point and we would like feedback or suggestions.

and yes you know I am in, so can I make it official now and be one of the first on the list??? (for both the Farm and the Crawl) this should work fine for me on getting a good "big" slot of vacation time off being it is going into September for time off. Will be in contact for future help if there is something I can do to help out (may need to do a 'side' -40++mpg- trip north a time or two next year before hand)

Speaking of Canadian Labour....you know what happens when you show up at the Farm early??
I was thinking of a new concrete pad in front of the shop  and John is having some trees cut down at his house.....so ther might be some wood to split and stack! ;)
This post could have used a little more "Colour" from our southern "Neighbour"

Guess in the next few months, I better start working again on my verbal "Canadian" word skills being I am already in trouble. More concrete?

I will be watching your progress with this crawl with much interest....with envy. I wish I could offer some "Eastern Southern" Colours. But you are just too far away for us right now.

Hey Brian,

I hope all is going well with you and Sandi.

Just a comment on the Farm Gathering date. With both of us working, Labour  Day weekend would make it hard for us to come and partake in the festivities. But go with the majority and we will see what we can do. You are the one running the show.

Hi Steve & Gretchen
So good to hear from you guys!
Yes, we would like to achieve a 100% return like we had last year.
And we really want to accommodate everyone!
But, we really want to meet the wishes of everyone that attended the 2015 Fall Crawl also. ( and there was a large overlap in participants) So, the thought is that this might be one way to kill two birds with one stone?? It also affords us a much better starting point for the 2016 Crawl, that will give those going on the Crawl an opportunity to see an amazing part of B.C. without having to drive extra distance or make a special trip.
For now it is just a tentative plan! As I am awaiting feedback such as yours, as well as the announcement of other Gathering dates (IRG) before we make a formal plan.
We did so enjoy your company at the Farm in 2015 and would love to see you here again in 2016 (maybe there won't be a Fire ban and we will be able to smell the smoke?? Thanks for the Fire! ;) ) .
And I admit, that the Fall Crawl is aimed to accommodate those that have already Retired and have no kids. Thus, the September date, the time that is required and the miles travelled.
IT is a major commitment to do the entire route!
Thanks again for your reply.....and we will keep you posted!

The "Tentative" route for the 2016 is such a wonderful opportunity to see country that will leave such a lasting memory in your camping history, that it will be a hard one "Not" to do!
And coupling it with the "Farm Gathering" will be just a 'Bonus" opportunity.
Not that our Gathering is the "Best" out there! But, it will make a 'laid back" intro into what promises to be a GREAT Fall Crawl. ;)
So, keep your eye on this )or these) events for 2016 when making your camping or vacation plans! You will not be disappointed!!!

UPDATE!
So once the IRG dates were released and they were not in July??
We sent out a questionnaire was sent out to last year's participants on this event.
The 2016 Fall Crawl will know be a "Separate" event held Sept.2 to 18th with the option of an extra week ending at either the TNT Gathering in Union Gap or the Fall Brigade in Mulino OR.
The 3rd Annual Farm Gathering will be held July 14 -17th 2016.

Put them to work? Doctor's orders! No more "B.C." Woodpiles for me! Concrete? as long as I have my hat on, I will at least give verbal support on the sideline - every job needs a boss, right? plus the concrete is already poured and should be hard by now!! Its just the rest that needs to finished!! I will be there in my Chevy Col"u"orado (??Canadian spelling ??) again this year to help, for a few hours anyway.

or is it Chevy "Colo"u"rado -is it O after U or U after O?? am still working on my foreign language skills. Have to put up with this at work all of the time being told at age 62 that I should learn the languages of our "clients" and fellow (prison) workers, also. The Spanish - Russian - India - Philippino - Bosnian - Polish - Danish - Thailand - British - Germany - Italy - Fiji - etc,etc,etc,..... we have over 20 different languages of the housed "clients" I deal with along with the immigrant staff I work with now. And the latest one is the "client" that was born and raised his whole life in Yakima. Wash., age 31, that claims he is French and can't speak English, he wants a translator. Hey, this Canadian seems easy so far.
