How Do You Get the Paint Off A New Hatch Hinge?

An oil storage facility is on fire just north of London (England) - supposedly the biggest fire in Europe since WW2. The inital explosion was heard in Holland!!

I ordered the hinge from AW Johnson and I'm not sure if it's the old one or the new one. I has a 3/8 offset so that threw me off but I'll manage to work it out. I think I'll forgo removing the black paint since it's too much trouble and black goes with anything as my wife says....

If you mean RW Johnson...that's who I got mine from....it's the old style hinge....worked fine for me though...and he gave me plenty of extra length to play with....Doug

You're right it is RW Johnson and he did giv eme plenty of length but I put it on the table saw and cut it slicker than a whistle.
