That is a beautiful galley! REAL classy! Those cabinets look like designer cabinets, and I really love that stove. I am guessing that you are using a cooler in the car, as I don't see a fridge, unless it is hiding behind one of the doors. Love the counters, too. They remind me of the counters in my son's new home, which I have only seen in pictures. ( I hope to get to see it when we visit them this summer) Love that pull out work surface between the drawers and the cabinets. Can you say---CONVENIENT???

Be sure to show us the galley again, when you get the cabinets on top added. I know that it will be even nicer looking then, though it is hard to improve on as it is. I will show this to my hubby when he gets home this evening, and will save it to my favs, too.

By the way, my dad's cousin lives in your town. I haven't seen him since 2003, when he came to my dad's funeral. I guess he still lives there. I think that the name of the town may be a Native American Indian name. I think he told my daughter about it, etc., but I am not sure if I remember all the details.

Cindy, The cooler is more convient for us in the car and we needed storage for kitchen stuff in the galley including food. I tried out the oven and was able to get it up to 500 deg. in a short time. The doors are cope & stick raised panels made in my shop along with the bead molding. The town was named after the local tribe of The Puyallup. Puyallup is also home to the Puyallup Fair also known as The Western Washington Fair held every September and is #6 in the nation in attendance, nice fair . Danny

It's Grants Li’l Bear profile and it was intended to house the tail lights and I think give that hot rod look. It's nice looking but isn't very practical for planning a galley. I felt the tail lights would be too low for visibility so I placed them in the hatch. The area is about 4 5/8" and just enough to make a wine rack kinda thing for 3 disposable propane bottles and other storage. No space is wasted, just different access. The cabinet floor is 4 5/8" below the doors. Danny

Are your fenders just standard steel fenders, or have you painted them? When i have looked at them elsewhere they never looked very shiny- a good compliment to the aluminum skins.

Thanks Rob, Miriam C, Mr Classic Finn & Greasywheats. I too like the wood especially the Canary wood. It looks good with Purple Heart too. I have made several woodturnings with combinations of wood. See some in my album. Our halfdome plates came in the mail today so we are now bonafide (like in "OH BROTHER") Danny
