Well Boys & Girls... Guys & Gals..here are some more pics for you.

It all came together after a frustrating day or 2 in trials & errors.
Happens to be that 500 Newton shocks are suitable for our hatch & they work nicely. The hatch is now lighter than ever thought to lower and raise by all of our family members. The wind is blowing somewhat at present and its holding. :phew: :woohoo:

TA-DA! Yaaaaay! :applause: :applause: :applause:  :P :clapping hands:
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

Thank You Tony :shake hands:

Tony look in the galley closely.. Do you recognize it? 8) 8)

I measured the installation from your photos and it was right on.

Sonetpro I found a bit different brackets and the 500 N,s.

So ends the study and learning & Install of Gas Shocks :D :D

I am relieved and very happy :) :) :)

Thanks Again

Ohhhh  I just had a thought...
What about a small teardrop, maybe pulled behind that one, just big enough for say a 2 person sauna???

Bizman

I,ll come and help you.. now that I know how its done. Remember get the right size shocks.. it sure helps. 8) 8)

Also finding the correct location on your hatch before starting to drill a lot of holes that you need to fix later. :? I reckon I learned that as well.

Hope this thread helps many others as well.

Looks like Im done with the most crucial work on our tear. The interior will be much more fun and adding goodies to make it look nice.

All our best
