Andrew-I wasn't sure I liked being called a Merkan, till I figured out what you meant. :)

Jim the halfs are 500 each? 1000 total might be OK.

Well these are encouraging words, I was worried that I had really goofed up big time.

If you are using Trailer Tires, you may try car radial tires as they have less side wall thickness. Trailer tires are stiffer so that they slide when you make a turn. This is only necessary under heavy loads. It may also be advantageous to us a larger wheel with radial tires. You notice that radials, properly inflated, look low or flat on the bottom. This will make it ride better.

The link you supplied to the reliable axle are rated for 500 lb TOTAL

Capacity-Pair: 500 Lbs. (from the spec sheet)

...as you check around on these hubs, check to see if they come with the hubs are not...I don't believe Northern comes with hubs while I think the etrailerpart does (call them and ask)

northern don't come with hubs..you need to order them seperate, but they only 13 bucks each...cheep
