love the plans for the little dinner. the 3-D wall section you have shows using 3/4" " sticks" and the voids will be filled with foam. My question is: Since there is very little void spaces could you just use a piece of 3/4 ply instead of the sticks and then just cut out the void spaces for the foam and weight reduction? I think I have seen this done before. Thanks a lot.

P.S. What are the dimensions for the Baja Benroy?

Sure, you could use a piece of 3/4" plywood, but realize that is only 23/32" thick. And the foamular is 3/4" thick. So you'll have to sand off 1/32" to get the foamular to fit.

The other thing to remember is that you may be screwing into the endgrain of plywood instead of the end grain of pine sticks. Mostly that just means predrilling before driving in screws...

The Baja Benroy is 10' long, 5' high and 6' wide.

thanks, I just might give it a try. I am still trying to decide if I should go with a solid 3/4" ply or the built up wall. as weight is really not an issue nor the cold weather but I would like it to keep the sound down.

You could re-use some of it, but it seems like you would be wasting a lot of material from the cut outs. Also, the 1x Poplar stock is usually straight so there will be less variation and smaller gaps between the insulation and wood.
