G'Day

I plan on starting the alloy skin this weekend and was going to let it float as suggested by Mad Jack in his previous posts as this seems easier than glueing etc.

What do you use to hold the alloy in place untill the trim is screwed in place?

I don't have a stapler big enough would little bronze boat nails work?

Sorry no new pictures as yet but I will do some of the skinning.

Regards Carl

Carl, that would proably work OK...you don't need many...just a few to hold it in place while you apply the trim...be sure to use a good caulk under the trim and a squirt in all screw holes....

MJ ... Been trying Hot glue in the screw holes ... very convenient to use and screws remelt the glue upon insertion ...further sealing the holes... great for production /Whatdayathink ???? How about those Saints ???
However , getting screws OUT later may be difficult ...???

Glen, we use a urethane sealant (auto windshield) in a caulk tube...we also dry fit and predrill so when applying sealant, we just squirt a little at the holes alnog the way....da SAINTS...hudathunkit 3-0 and man what a showing Monday night...beating Hot'lanta, on National TV, onna Monday night in the Grand Reopening of the Dome...it just don't get any better...hell, that makes a whole season right there!!!!!!!!!
