Has anyone used Benjamin Moore epoxy coatings. I was thinking of using their epoxies as my exterior finish. I am doing a Benroy style and was going to paint the roof and clear finish the sides. The spec sheet sounds good. I talked with the paint store manager and he said it would work great. But then again he sells the stuff. Not always the best guy to ask. //tinyurl.com/zddbo

WB, most any 2-part outdoor rated epoxy should work OK...and the BM fits those paticulars just fine......... 8)

Which epoxy did you purchase?

Is it this one:epoxy

Have you applied it yet? How do you like it?

If it is this one, it is acrilic epoxy and water clean up. It is not the same as marine epoxy. It also doesn't say a thing about UV resistance in the initial read (Endo's URL). You might want to read carefully before you use it.

Sorry

The Black I used was DM74/DM75 Industrial coating. The clear I used was was Polyamide Epoxy 36/37. I was told the clear has UV protection the Black does not. The BM salesman said to put 2 coats of black on and then finish with a coat of clear over it. Both were very easy to use. I applied them with a small foam roller. Left some orange peel. I scuff sanded between my first a second coats. Sands real easy. I still have to put the woody trim on. I will sand again before the final coat. I may try spraying the final coat to reduce the orange peel. Heres where I am so far.
