Check HD Lowes for gutter sealer. It can be had in white, silver and I think black and brown. It's slimy stuff but it will seal about anything.

I need more for cosmetics than anything. It would make some of the seam areas I will have look cleaner.

I like to use "PL Urethane Gray" ... Most big-box stores have it. It is also sold as gutter sealant. It isn't silver like aluminum, but it is pretty close and works good with alum. trim. It seals extremely well and holds up even exposed to sunlight. I've also used it for skylights and chemney flashing on houses for years... best I've found.

Sikaflex 221 sealant, available from http://www.austinhardware.com/product.a ... %5Fid=3243 is an excellent urethane sealant and comes in white/black/grey...a lot of "gutter" sealant is butyl rubber which is an excellent sealer but it is slimy and will "squish" out of a joint for weeks before it finally sets up.....

Yeah, you are right Jack... I was thinking I had seen some urethane gutter sealant; but I think you are correct that it is butyl rubber. We used to use that gooey stuff years ago putting windows in custom vans. Yucky stuff to work with. :o

Brick, we tried a number of sealant products...we started with "Evil Black Stuff"(auto windshield sealant/adhesive) then switched to butyl rubber and thought it was "THE STUFF"...a week later and it was still oozing out from behind trim and we named it "Most Evil Grey Stuff" and went back to the urethane(at least it sets up)...will probably use the Sikaflex221 grey on future builds unless we can find a grey urethane in the local stores here in Pohdunk La.

I don't recall the brand, but Lowes carries silicone in "aluminum" that matches perfectly with mill finish aluminum.

That's what I used. It is the same color as the trim. Almost invisable. I didn't like the butyl gutter seal I tried that first.
