Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

Hey Mike, I saw where you used this stuff on your cabin. It looked like you have 3/4 sides. Was wondering if it would make a difference if the sides were thinnner, say 3/8 or 1/2. Was thinking about the potential bending or flexing of the material and if that would crack the finish. I like the looks of that stuff and especially the ease of application compared to skinning a cabin. Did you seal up the ends of the top sheets of plywood with the epoxy filler and then sand to get the nice edges that look like they don't need and trim to cover up. Nice job! How much did you purchase to cover your cabin including the undercoater and epoxy filler. Thanks for any info.

Yes the sides are 3/4"... but the top is 1/8". Even with the flexing, I have not had a problem with the uniflex. It sticks just as good as the day I applied it.

I used about 2 gallons of Uniflex 255. I also used 2 16oz kits of the CPES.


Yes I sealed up all the edges really good with CPES. I did not do any sanding, other than sanding off my goof from using the wrong roller.

I only used 1 small kit of the epoxy filler. I don't have the sizes handy, but I'll edit this message later when I get home.

Thanks Mike. Wonder if I can find a comparable product locally here in Austin. Sherwin Williams, Lowes, Home Depot, Glidden or somebody. Looks like good stuff!

Probably not. It's an exclusive product and the Rot Doctor is the only one who sells it.

Arne used the stuff too, on his 5' teardrop. Arne was real careful on what he spent his money on. But apparently he decided that the Rot Doctor product was worth it... You can see his photos here...
