I love the copper idea, but having worked on boats as a teenager

I have to ask - who's going to polish that stuff after it's installed? Not me! I did miles and miles of it when I worked on the boats.

Better yet, who is going to pay for it. :R

I use shoe molding from HD.

NOT quarter round. Quarter round won't take the curve but "shoe molding" will. Comes in white (paintable), Oak grain, and a walnut color wood grain. Bends beautifully. Almost begs to be bent.

This is not tacked in yet. Just held in place by tension.

Album for more radical bends that do not deform the Shoe Molding.

Quarter round will not bend w/o deforming. Shoe molding will.

Geron, is that the foam foe stuff? I tried that in the quarter round and it broke too. But Not the shoe molding. I guess I can try that too... although if it breaks you might see a mushroom cloud over north Florida from me exploding.

Thanks for the tip.

The quarter round will NOT work. Not only will it break it will deform in the curve and not fit.

Shoe molding -- Yes it's the foam stuff -- worked for me as you can see but won't make promises.

It's like 3/8 on one side and 3/4 on the other side. Just loves to bend.
