I am thinking of using this type of latch for my door,it fits a 1 1/4" door. I think it would be a nice look,do you guys see any issue with this type of lock? Thanks! Aaron

They look really nice. Flush on the outside. A few questions: How secure are they? Can they be locked from the inside without using a key? What do they cost? Who is the supplier?

I'd like two.

Aaron, those will work great on 1 1/4" doors. That's exactly what I have on mine. You have to make a little more allowance for the deadbolt & latch tongue on the inside but that can then be covered with trim (haven't done that yet  ). They work great, only thing is one has to be mounted 'upside down' in relation to the other as they only come in one style (no left & right), but that again is no major problem. Here's mine just before my first trip in the TD, then the interior shot at LCG last fall -

I have them on my teardrop in chrome. yes they are easy to install in a "core type door, yes they can lock from the inside, and in my area they are about 75.00 each new ( mine were surplus salvage and 12.00 ea.

Thanks! I'm glad someone else has done it. Having a left or right is no biggie, I only have one door on my tear,on the passenger side (the side I sleep on) Thanks! Aaron

speaking of only one door, how many of you have only one door and what side did you put yours? I didnt see a need for two doors, My wife always goes to bed before me and sleeps in longer and never gets up in the middle of the night,me on the other hand,I am up two or three time a night so I put the door on the passenger side, the side I sleep on.
Are there other reasons to have two doors? Thanks again.

I am going to order mine off ebay,I found some that delivered cost $35,
not cheap but they look like they are built well and they have a deadbolt built in,so I think they would be pretty secure.come in chrome,Black and white. My window frames are white so I will go with the white or chrome. Aaron

Found mine on eBay, don't have the receipt right in front of me but best I remember they were under $30 for the pair, shipped.

Is there any way to use them on a door thicker than 1-1/4"?
