How do you get 5' sidewalls?

Postby fornesto » Mon Nov 29, 2004 12:48 pm

I really want the extra height and proportions of a 5 x 10 side. However, there is no such thing as 5 x 10 plywood. (If you can find me some, I'll give ya' a dollar!) So, how do you do the side wall, without doing a full built up frame. Tongue and groove two sheets together - one on top of the other. That's just asking for the wobble. Any ideas?

I found 5 ft plywood in Brownsville, Texas. I could not fit it in my SUV, thus it is still there. I think if you look at dealers that supply cabinet shops, they will have it.

I found some 5 X 9 BC plywood, 5/8 thick, carried it back in my short bed F250, along with some 1/8" birch and 1/8" luan. Made me feel like i hit the Mother load, but i had to travel 400 miles round trip lol.......Thinks mine is going to resemble the back of a garbage truck more than a teardrop, but hey..........i won't be bangin my head
