10' X 4' Plywood?

Is this a comon size? I'm used to Home Depot, not real lumber yards.

4x8 is a common size. You'll have to do some serious looking for 4x10 or 5x10 plywood. And then then only come in 1 thickness. 3/4".

You might want to consider scarfing or lapjoints to get the larger sizes. Or consider stick building and cover the joints with strip, or fill with a filler. Whatever you decide to do, have fun!

Mike...

P.S. Go to Steve Fredricks site to see how he made larger sheets of plywood!!!

Scarfing? Lap joint? Oh I see I am going to have to learn some of those fancy carpenter words!

Where can I find Steve Fredricks site? I would like to have this info too. I would like to build something a bit taller than 4'

Thanks!

Go to http://www.blogicalthoughts.com/cgi-bin ... .txt&links and look in the Personal Pages for Steve's web site link.

You can also hit the "profile" button any place you see Steve Fredrick, even in the memberlist... and it'll bring up a page which includes his URL!
